A recent museum opening in Dubai seeks to combine our favorite things here at CAI, coffee and culture. Khalid Al Mulla, a Dubai-based coffee trader, is the founder and curator of the Middle East’s very first coffee museum, the Dubai Coffee Museum, now open to tourists and coffee enthusiasts alike.
Ever since being cultivated in the Middle East during the 15th Century, the caffeine rich drink has been a staple in nearly every culture worldwide. This is reflected in Mr. Al Mulla’s museum through the centuries of coffee related products. From Turkish coffee pots to European French presses to Depression-era coffee advertisements, this museum is brimming with international flavor.
