With a history of trade with Western countries since the era of colonization, as well as the vast majority of countries in the region embracing policies favorable to foreign trade and investment, Latin America is a growing market that offers opportunities for countries that are willing to invest in its developing markets. Gazarian and Montana examine a select group of Latin American countries and analyze how the aforementioned trends are sustained even in today’s current worldwide downturn economic environment.
