It is with deep sorrow that we share with you, our friends and business associates, the news of the loss of our beloved Gerry Bertolasi, Director of Client Services and Global Relocation. Gerry was not only a trusted colleague, but also a dear friend  to all of us at Cultural Awareness International and to the many partners, clients, consultants and expats she worked with over her sixteen years at CAI.

All of us who knew Gerry, loved her.  We couldn’t help it, really. She was not only knowledgeable about the Destination Services she managed, but also probably one of the kindest and most loving individuals we knew. Her twinkling periwinkle blue eyes, her sunny disposition, and her charming British accent which she somehow never lost after decades of living in Texas were all part of the charm that was Gerry.  She always had time for her colleagues and industry friends, a circle of friendship that crossed across many borders and time zones.

Gerry’s legacy to Cultural Awareness International is a service line that is comprehensive, and provides the care and compassion for the assignee that were the hallmark of her character. All of us who knew and loved her are devastated by her loss, but will forge forward to continue the work that she loved so passionately. She will be with us in spirit always.  Our deepest condolences go to her family, her beautiful daughters and grandchildren. We thank you for keeping them, and us, in your thoughts and prayers.
